It’s finally time for one of my “bucket list” trips!
This week, we are going on a cruise of the Western Mediterranean on the MSC Divina. We will be visiting the ports of Civitavecchia, Palermo, Cagliari, Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Marseilles, and Genoa. I have been to Mallorca, but the other ports are all new to me!
For packing, I always start with printing out my packing lists {link} and getting together my travel toiletries. I always have those packed in my travel closet and I check to make sure all the travel bottles are filled. From here, I just add and subtract items based on the trip we are going on.
Next, before picking out my outfits, I will check the weather and the plans for each day (excursions, fancy dinners, etc.). I always make sure I pack outfits for each day and not just a bunch of random clothes. That helps me to not pack too many extraneous clothes and keeps my packing to a minimum.
I used to plan out my outfits with Polyvore, but that website is no more! 😭 If anyone has some sort of alternative website that I can use to plan outfits, let me know! This was the last layout of outfits I got from Polyvore before it went defunct.
Once the outfits are picked out, it’s time to get everything folded and into packing cubes! My favorite packing cubes were the cubes from IKEA, but I’ve been told that they aren’t being sold anymore 😭 and I haven’t tried the new version that is available.
My next favorites are the compression cubes from Gonex. I get these from Amazon and they help to compress your clothes to save space in your luggage. They are a lot like the compression cubes from Eagle Creek but a lot less expensive!
