MSC Preziosa Aurea Spa Thermal Pass

MSC Preziosa Aurea Spa Thermal Pass

On the two MSC cruises we have taken – one last year on the MSC Divina and one this year on the MSC Preziosa – we have paid for the thermal spa pass in the Aurea Spa for the week. I’ve always like the idea […]

Our MSC Preziosa Cruise to Northern Europe

Our MSC Preziosa Cruise to Northern Europe

In May of this year, we embarked on the MSC Preziosa for a cruise around Northern Europe. We had a good time, even with a few hiccups along the way. I hope by now you’ve been able to get caught up on our vlogs on […]

MSC Preziosa Room Service Breakfast Menu

MSC Preziosa Room Service Breakfast Menu

On our cruise onboard the MSC Preziosa, we stayed in a balcony cabin as part of the Fantastica experience. This package includes room service with free continental breakfast. We did not get breakfast on this cruise because of our super early excursions. I still wanted to share the menu with you in case you wanted to partake in a little room service breakfast on your next cruise!

Particulars

Breakfast is available through room service from 7:30 am until 10 am. To order breakfast, fill out one of these menu cards found in your stateroom and hang it outside your cabin door before 2 am. In our cabin, these cards were found in the bottom drawer of our bedside tables. Be aware that room service breakfast was available every morning except for the morning of disembarkation.

Once you’ve picked out your food selections, make sure to fill out your cabin number, the number of guests and your desired delivery time on the back before hanging it outside your cabin door.

As you can see, the “continental” breakfast offered through room service is just as one would expect. If you are wanting something more substantial like eggs and bacon, you will have to go to the buffet (or the main dining room when it is offered).

Some guests will use this service as a way to get a fresh cup of coffee and a small pastry in the morning after waking up to enjoy on their balcony. That way, they can take their time getting ready before heading out to get breakfast in one of the dining areas. There was a kettle in our room that produced hot water and instant coffee available if you just needed a caffeine fix. I am not a coffee drinker myself, so I can’t speak to how good it tastes. Besides, I am aware that there is a big difference between a fresh brewed cup of coffee from grounds versus a cup of instant coffee. My intention is just to let you know of all the options available! 🙂

Also, be aware that gratuities for the room service staff are always appreciated!

Have you had breakfast brought to your cabin on an MSC cruise? What about specifically on the MSC Preziosa? We have used this service on other lines with our favorite being Holland America. Their omelettes and breakfast sandwiches are really great! If you’ve done room service breakfast before, which line has your favorite? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!

What’s In My Toiletry Bag – Cruise Edition

What’s In My Toiletry Bag – Cruise Edition

We are only a few short weeks out from our cruise on the MSC Preziosa! A trip to Paris has been at the top of my travel bucket list for many years, and I’m finally so close to being there! The excitement is real, y’all! 😁

In today’s post, I’m showing you all the toiletries that I am taking on our cruise. Well, it’s really all the toiletries my husband and I are both taking. Why? Because we are going carry on only for this trip, and we are trying to consolidate as much as possible. This means that we are both packing in the same toiletry bag. After decanting the larger items into smaller containers, it’s not as hard as you might think!

The toiletry bag that I am taking is the eBags pack-it-flat toiletry case. I have had this bag for several years and I am always amazed at how much it can hold in a relatively small footprint.

My make up bag is just a small cosmetic case that I got as a free gift from Aveda. I’m also using TSA approved plastic liquids bags that I picked up from Amazon. The gusseted bottom helps them hold a lot more than your average Ziploc quart sized bag. They also come in a lot of fun colors to help you stay organized between family members.

If you want to see everything that I’m taking on our cruise, check out my video on YouTube (below) where I open all three bags and show it all! Thanks for watching!

Pack With Me: Italy and Western Mediterranean Cruise Edition

Pack With Me: Italy and Western Mediterranean Cruise Edition

It’s finally time for one of my “bucket list” trips!

This week, we are going on a cruise of the Western Mediterranean on the MSC Divina. We will be visiting the ports of Civitavecchia, Palermo, Cagliari, Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Marseilles, and Genoa. I have been to Mallorca, but the other ports are all new to me!

For packing, I always start with printing out my packing lists {link} and getting together my travel toiletries. I always have those packed in my travel closet and I check to make sure all the travel bottles are filled. From here, I just add and subtract items based on the trip we are going on.

Next, before picking out my outfits, I will check the weather and the plans for each day (excursions, fancy dinners, etc.). I always make sure I pack outfits for each day and not just a bunch of random clothes. That helps me to not pack too many extraneous clothes and keeps my packing to a minimum.

I used to plan out my outfits with Polyvore, but that website is no more! 😭 If anyone has some sort of alternative website that I can use to plan outfits, let me know! This was the last layout of outfits I got from Polyvore before it went defunct.

Once the outfits are picked out, it’s time to get everything folded and into packing cubes! My favorite packing cubes were the cubes from IKEA, but I’ve been told that they aren’t being sold anymore 😭 and I haven’t tried the new version that is available.

My next favorites are the compression cubes from Gonex. I get these from Amazon and they help to compress your clothes to save space in your luggage.  They are a lot like the compression cubes from Eagle Creek but a lot less expensive!

If you want to see more about the luggage I used on this trip and what I packed, check out my YouTube video!

What’s in My Carry On Bag for A Long Haul Flight
