Our MSC Preziosa Cruise to Northern Europe

Our MSC Preziosa Cruise to Northern Europe

In May of this year, we embarked on the MSC Preziosa for a cruise around Northern Europe. We had a good time, even with a few hiccups along the way. I hope by now you’ve been able to get caught up on our vlogs on YouTube. If not, I wanted to have a place someone could go to see all the videos listed (or watch the entire playlist if you wanted!

Tips for Train Travel in Germany

Tips for Train Travel in Germany

On our last trip to Europe, we ended up flying into Frankfurt and taking the train to Hamburg to embark on our cruise on the MSC Preziosa. It was just a lot less expensive to fly into Frankfurt and we don’t mind taking the train, […]

Hilton Garden Inn The Squaire Frankfurt Airport

Today, I wanted to talk a little about our hotel experience in Germany for our most recent cruise on the MSC Preziosa. Spoiler Alert: It was a great one! Our cruise embarked in Hamburg, Germany, but for purely financial reasons, we decided it would be […]

MSC Preziosa Room Service Breakfast Menu

MSC Preziosa Room Service Breakfast Menu

On our cruise onboard the MSC Preziosa, we stayed in a balcony cabin as part of the Fantastica experience. This package includes room service with free continental breakfast. We did not get breakfast on this cruise because of our super early excursions. I still wanted to share the menu with you in case you wanted to partake in a little room service breakfast on your next cruise!

Particulars

Breakfast is available through room service from 7:30 am until 10 am. To order breakfast, fill out one of these menu cards found in your stateroom and hang it outside your cabin door before 2 am. In our cabin, these cards were found in the bottom drawer of our bedside tables. Be aware that room service breakfast was available every morning except for the morning of disembarkation.

Once you’ve picked out your food selections, make sure to fill out your cabin number, the number of guests and your desired delivery time on the back before hanging it outside your cabin door.

As you can see, the “continental” breakfast offered through room service is just as one would expect. If you are wanting something more substantial like eggs and bacon, you will have to go to the buffet (or the main dining room when it is offered).

Some guests will use this service as a way to get a fresh cup of coffee and a small pastry in the morning after waking up to enjoy on their balcony. That way, they can take their time getting ready before heading out to get breakfast in one of the dining areas. There was a kettle in our room that produced hot water and instant coffee available if you just needed a caffeine fix. I am not a coffee drinker myself, so I can’t speak to how good it tastes. Besides, I am aware that there is a big difference between a fresh brewed cup of coffee from grounds versus a cup of instant coffee. My intention is just to let you know of all the options available! 🙂

Also, be aware that gratuities for the room service staff are always appreciated!

Have you had breakfast brought to your cabin on an MSC cruise? What about specifically on the MSC Preziosa? We have used this service on other lines with our favorite being Holland America. Their omelettes and breakfast sandwiches are really great! If you’ve done room service breakfast before, which line has your favorite? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!

Shopping for New Carry On Luggage

Shopping for New Carry On Luggage

If you remember when we went on our Mediterranean cruise last year and maybe you even watched my pack with me video, you know that I went carry on only with a backpack from Osprey. This year for our European adventure, we are again going to go carry on, but because of some back issues, I’m not able to use the backpack. So, I needed to get a carry on with wheels.

Last year, my husband and I took quite a few trips that were only a few days, so we packed together in one carry on. We used a black carry on piece from Calpak {similar} that I really love. However, there’s nothing that distinct about it. I am trying to make this trip as stress free as possible and searching for black luggage in baggage claim or in the sea of luggage after getting off a cruise doesn’t scream low stress to me! 😅

In today’s video, come along with me as I shop for a new piece of carry on luggage! See where I go, what I got, and some tips and tricks for picking out luggage for yourself!
