It’s that time again! We are headed out for a four day cruise to the Bahamas on the Norwegian Sun! I’m super excited just to get away and do nothing! We’ll also be celebrating my birthday! Yay! So today, I wanted to share a sort of “how to pack for a cruise” and show you what I’m taking on this trip.

We are flying down to Orlando on American Airlines, but we are flying back on Spirit. This means I had to pre-pack in my head to determine how many bags to pay for when I booked my Spirit flight. When we went to Disney World last year, my husband and I saved money by paying to just check one large bag instead of each of us bringing a carry on suitcase (paying for a checked bag was $30 versus a carry on suitcase for $35 each). The reason I mention this is you’ll see this in the video and probably wonder why I’m trying to pack both of us in one suitcase.

Since this is a short cruise and the name of the game is relaxation, I’m not taking a whole bunch of clothes. It also helps that we are going on Norwegian who has a pretty relaxed “come as you are” policy for the dining rooms (unless you’re going somewhere super fancy like Le Bistro or Cagney’s). The focus on this “pack with me” is simple — a few shorts, a crop jean, a bunch of t-shirts and a bathing suit for our beach day. I’m toying with the idea of bringing an outfit for my birthday dinner, but I’m still iffy on it. You’ll see in the video below what I decided to bring!
